Standards of Conduct

Please discuss these standards with your children:

Behavior:

We treat others with respect, kindness, and encouragement in speech and action, demonstrating integrity and Christian values. We refrain from any expression, gossip, or physical contact that may harm or make another feel uncomfortable. We do not bring anything to LCIC classes that could bring insult or injury to another member. In addition, hand holding, kissing, or other affectionate gestures associated with pairing off are not allowed in this setting.

Dress and Appearance:

Dress should be modest, neat, and clean. Clothing should not be tight or revealing. Shorts, skirts, and dresses should be at least knee length. We avoid extremes and sloppiness in dress, grooming, and manners; examples may include excessively ripped jeans, pajamas and offensive logos. Dockers and dress pants are encouraged.

Language:

We use language that is clean, courteous, and intelligent. The names of God and Jesus Christ should be used only in reverence. Profane, vulgar, or crude language or gestures, as well as jokes about immoral actions are not allowed.

Materials:

Offensive materials are not allowed. This includes anything vulgar, immoral, violent, or pornographic.

Physical Environment:

We keep our environment clean and orderly, keeping track of our own possessions and being attentive to our family’s needs. We do not touch another person’s property without permission.
